A Snowy Day - By Srithik Pal

Image
First experience of a snowy day, The coolest day, I’ve ever had. With sprinkles of snow everywhere, Yes, it was all snow clad.   Everything was white, above and on the ground With not much people moving around. The feel was like a beautiful heaven, While walking around with uncle Ken. What a winter wonderland it was Waiting for Christmas gifts from Santa Claus.

Damsel in Distress - By Tianna Thakur

Everyone hears the same old story Some dumb old prophecy Where the knight saves the "damsel in distress  But they don't know she can save herself.    They all think she's just a Damsel In Distress Incapable of saving herself Can't fight against the bad guys Little do they know these are all just lies   She fights with a sword in secret Hoping no one knows just yet She'll be the first one to beat anyone in a fight Better than any other castle knight   They don't let her enter any competition Just cause she's a female Can't go on a single mission They think that she's just gonna fail.    But she climbs mountains. She can defeat any villain She's not the damsel in distress A different kind of princess!

The Next Gen - By Srithik Pal

Here comes the next gen, God knows when? Might arrive with new technology That will change everyone’s psychology. From morning till night, Children used to fight. But as this is the next gen Children will get things every now and then. Watching the cars flying above just like aeroplanes! Seeing the trucks passing by tiny narrow lanes! It’s boring without a humanoid robot playing games with me. Studying without a computer pencil is not so easy. I don’t know what type of machine is that? Which cleans the whole house without a single pat? But our grandparents, the older generation Find it difficult to cooperate with the world’s new action, But it is our duty to teach them how to be productive in this situation And then surely new things for them will be fun!

Norway Airlines - By Dhriya Ghosh

Above the winds, above the sky You can see a plane flying by With bright colours, yellow , white and green , Soaring above it is a sight to be seen!   It holds people, it holds cargo, It holds many things, And to fly it does, it’s like a flying doe, With big, white and beautiful wings!   And it lands with grace, Fires with brave Windows which look great, And a pilot jack place.   And planes nowadays, are the fastest of means, They take you to places, where your destination is And probably that they fight when need, We should respect these great things and pay heed.                                                                     ...

The Ravishing Rainbow - By Tianna Thakur

Up there, high in the sky Lies something we can see through our window But what is it if it doesn’t fly? Well of course, it’s a rainbow! But a rainbow comes with a companion One brings joy, while the other usually brings sorrow They arrive with such fashion! Ah those two, they are rain and rainbow! The rainbow looks like a burst of colours Almost like it’s been dipped in dye! One thing no one wants to do with a rainbow, Is say goodbye!

Fierce Yaas- By Arush Sarkar

Fierce Yaas   With bated breath we waited for you, Will you be ferocious? We had no clue. When you finally arrived, you seemed frisky, The weather looked all risky. Sometimes you brought lightning, thunder, and rains, Other times you brought dark clouds, gusty winds and strains.             In between you let the Sun peep, But soon you again turned to a creep. The night before your landfall we kept tossing on the bed, While there was constant howling and pattering on the shed. We woke up to massive demolitions on our coasts, Your wrath had flooded them the most. Your name Yaas means jasmine in Persian, But all you have given us is destruction.

Yaas - By Tianna Thakur

Yaas As the wind swirls and twirls Houses are getting hurled And after this dreadful storm Out comes a whole new world! Oh, When will this go away? When can we rest in peace? This isn’t fun at all How can it be? With its strong breeze? Go away cyclone Yaas! Pretty Please? We’ve faced enough already We don’t need more trouble We don’t want more rubble And want to stay in our peaceful bubble!

Who is a Friend?- By Kahini Kanungo

Who is a Friend?  Who is a friend? A friend is one who’s always beside you at any rate. Who is a friend? A friend is one who makes you laugh all the time. Who is a friend? A friend is one who loves the way you are and never ever leaves you. Who is a friend? A friend is one with whom you can share your secrets and talk non-stop. Who is a friend? A friend is one who celebrates your every win and inspires you more. Who is a friend? A friend is one who enjoys your company a lot and offers you true intimacy.

The Solace of My Soul- By Ritaja Bose

The Solace of My Soul   The grass looks way greener over there Every flower is a soul blossoming in nature Stop trying to calm the storm, the storm will pass. The leaves in the shore, Inching closer to my heart An afternoon breeze calms me down, The cherry blossom tree casting the shadow on my lawn. The children playing around, joys my heart. Oh, you are lost! In the silence of the thunder. May this dream come around. To rise up and step down daily And fall down with the teary eyed, Quietly waiting for the day. When I close my eyes and return in the garden of my dreams, Hope is the thing with feathers. which preaches my soul now.

Myriad Colours of Nature- By Arush Sarkar

Myriad Colours of Nature  O Nature and your myriad colours, How you treat the eyes and soul with wonder! The greens of the forests create mystic splendour, The blues of the seas reflect dazzling vigour. Colours give the flowers their alluring loveliness, Colours of butterflies mirror their spirited playfulness. The hues of rainbows bring magical charmness, The hues of avians spread hearty cheerfulness. O Nature let me revel in your colours! O Nature let me bow before your grandeur.

Floating Masses of Water- By Tejas Bhowmick

Floating Masses of Water Oh! Dark clouds, Where do you come from? Whom do you seek? You roll in and  Fill up the entire sky. Who do you listen to? Where do you go? The moon, the Sun, The stars all remain  Hidden under your layers Waiting to be revealed again.

Mother Nature- By Eeshan Ghose

Mother Nature Nature, Nature, Nature. It is there everywhere; Love her like your mother. We live happily in nature's nest, As we are in our mother's breast. Sun, moon, trees, birds and river  All are our great helpers. Shining stars light up the night sky In a distance high. It's our duty to not let her die, Hug her tightly, with a friendship tie.

NATURE - By Bhavesh Panjabi

NATURE   Nature, nature, mother nature Is so important for our future Birds, trees and animals around us Do make us lively and create a lot of fuss.   Nature, nature, mother nature Is huge and great in stature It gives us food and water for free Let us not destroy it and that’s my plea.

HAPPINESS- By Rishikalpa Sanyal

HAPPINESS Happiness is a long drive When my dad sits aside.   Happiness is playing a game Everyday the routine is same.   Happiness is watching a movie With popcorn and a refreshing smoothie.

Colours- By Madhvi Mall

COLOURS   I just love colours, I really do! They are bright, they are just beautiful. The vibrant colours, the beauty of them, Attracting all the eyes, gyrating in the den. Whether it be green or blue, red or orange, So new, they are always in the mood, They are as beautiful as a fairy tale. Red for cherries, blue for berries, green for grass And yellow for sun all are so much fascinating like a gem.

Things I Like - By Budhil Basu

I like playing football, As liked by most of us all. While playing, few players get hurt. Playing in the rainy season, we come across dirt. This game is among men, They pass the ball, as and when. The stadium covers the ground, The playing ground is round. The players score goals, Like in cricket, bowlers bowl.

Colours - By Tanvi Agarwal

If I was the colour red, My sign would be dangerous. If I was the colour yellow, My sign would be dirty fellow.   If I was the colour green, My sign would be right. If I was the colour white, My sign would be quiet.   Every colour has a different meaning, But still I like them all.
