Fierce Yaas- By Arush Sarkar
Fierce Yaas
With bated breath we waited for you,
Will you be ferocious? We had no
clue.
When you finally arrived, you seemed
frisky,
The weather looked all risky.
Sometimes you brought lightning,
thunder, and rains,
Other times you brought dark clouds,
gusty winds and strains.
In between you let the Sun peep,
But soon you again turned to a
creep.
The night before your landfall we
kept tossing on the bed,
While there was constant howling and
pattering on the shed.
We woke up to massive demolitions on
our coasts,
Your wrath had flooded them the
most.
Your name Yaas means jasmine in
Persian,
But all you have given us is destruction.
