Once upon a time, there was a sage who used to meditate under a tree. Many devotees came to visit him every day. They gave him food and water and took blessings from him. People say that he used to meet the gods.

One day, a man from the city came to the village. He was an atheist. He hated religious peoples. He had debated with famous religious leaders and won against them. He stayed in the village for 5 weeks. On his 3^rd week, he went and challenged the sage.

The next day the villagers crowded near the tree. The sage sat under the tree and the atheist sat on a chair. The debate started.

Atheist- I know you all do this to earn money

Sage- Do what?

Atheist- Fool the people.

Sage- Fool the people! Really?

Atheist- Now answer my first question. I will not ask what is God or who is God. I will ask why do we need to worship God?

Sage- (laughed and said) We have many gods. We believe that God is present in every particle. So we respect every particle in the universe.

After a lot of argument, the sage won the debate.

From that day the atheist also started believing in God. The sage became even more popular.
