This is a true story.  This occurred when my grandfather was small.

One day my grandfather went to a place with his friends. There was a house there. No one lived there.

He said to the guard, “Why is that apartment closed?”

The guard said “Ok um..... Yeah. So many years ago this place was a desert. There was a war going on. Due to shortage of water many soldiers died.  That particular night the soldiers who were still alive were talking among themselves when all of a sudden the windows opened one by one and hands started reaching out. The hand were very dry. The flesh had come out of the hands and on the flesh were written these words … ‘Jai Hind Sir! Pani do’.”

This means that they begged for water and to this day my grandfather remembers this story.
